Job Summary
The Mobile Phlebotomist is tasked with traveling to multiple healthcare settings and private residences to collect blood samples through proficient venipuncture methods. This role emphasizes the importance of accurate specimen labeling and the maintenance of specimen integrity during transport, all while delivering compassionate care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Travel to various healthcare facilities and patient homes to perform blood specimen collections.
- Utilize expert venipuncture techniques to ensure high-quality specimen collection.
- Ensure proper labeling of specimens to maintain accuracy and integrity.
- Safeguard specimen integrity throughout transportation to testing facilities.
- Provide empathetic and respectful care to patients during the collection process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience; three years required for the Home Draw team.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong venipuncture skills and the ability to work autonomously.
