Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the operating room, providing essential support during surgical procedures. This position involves preparing the operating environment, ensuring that all instruments are sterilized, and collaborating closely with the surgical team to facilitate safe and efficient surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and positioned.
- Support the surgical team by passing instruments during operations.
- Monitor patient safety and the sterility of the environment throughout the procedure.
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning pre-surgery.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical setting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
