Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This position entails performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues, and implementing timely repairs to maintain optimal functionality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and facility infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize maintenance processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
