Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) for OR Surgery plays a vital role at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, Connecticut. This position requires expertise in preparing and maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support surgical teams by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Assist during surgical procedures by providing necessary items to surgeons and surgical nurses.
- Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of the operating room before, during, and after surgery.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and sterile techniques.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technician program.
- Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or eligibility to obtain this certification.
- Proficiency in maintaining a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
