Job Summary
The Associate Director position is responsible for spearheading the accounting operations and financial reporting, serving as the company’s inaugural dedicated accounting leader. This role encompasses managing the month-end closing activities, supervising technical accounting aspects related to collaborations and grants, and establishing scalable systems and policies for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee technical accounting activities for collaborations and grant-related matters.
- Implement scalable systems and policies to enhance the accounting function.
- Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is essential.
- CPA license is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
- Strong technical understanding of U.S. GAAP is necessary.
