Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) for the General Surgery department at Windham Hospital in Willimantic, Connecticut, is responsible for supporting surgical teams by ensuring a sterile environment is maintained and assisting in various aspects of patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Ensure all instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and organized.
- Support surgeons and other medical personnel during operations.
- Facilitate the smooth operation of surgical procedures by anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical technologist or in an operating room environment.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
