Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician 3 plays a crucial role in facilitating pharmacy operations within a clinical environment situated in the West Palm Beach region. This position requires assisting the pharmacist with various tasks, including the processing of prescriptions, managing inventory, ensuring timely refills, and delivering excellent customer service while engaging with patients and the primary care clinic.
Responsibilities
- Collect, count, measure, and prepare medications under the guidance of a pharmacist.
- Support the pharmacist in processing prescriptions and handling refill requests.
- Gather information for new prescriptions and refills.
- Utilize pharmacy computer systems to access, input, and retrieve prescription data.
- Assist in ordering, pricing, managing inventory, and restocking of medications and supplies.
- Deliver professional and friendly customer service in a clinic-based pharmacy setting.
- Direct calls from physicians and medication-related inquiries to the pharmacist when necessary.
- Manage cash register operations and process customer transactions as required.
- Conduct basic calculations pertinent to pharmacy operations.
- Provide support for fellow pharmacy technicians, including coverage for time off.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, quality standards, and statutory regulations.
- Organize daily tasks and work autonomously within defined parameters.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy personnel, and the associated primary care clinic.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Possession of an active Pharmacy Technician license or registration.
- Ability to travel within the West Palm Beach area.
- Acceptable if possessing less than 2 years of professional leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
