Linen Sort Technician

6-Month Contract
The Linen Sort Technician will be responsible for categorizing soiled linens designated for healthcare facilities and associated clients, adhering to predetermined production standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Linen Sort Technician:
- Achieve and maintain production levels that meet or surpass departmental goals.
- Support laundry production processes to ensure a sufficient supply of linens for patient care and facility requirements.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and operational protocols in the workplace.
- Keep workspaces tidy and orderly.
- Exhibit adaptability to assist with various functions in laundry production and distribution as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Follow attendance, scheduling, overtime, and departmental regulations.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement activities.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements for the Linen Sort Technician:
- At least an 8th-grade education level.
- Proficient in reading and writing.
- A minimum of 6 months of recent experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services (EVS), distribution, or similar physically demanding roles is preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate a solid record of reliability and attendance in physically intensive positions.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving linen carts and bags throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a warm industrial laundry setting.
