Job Summary
The Medical Assistant 2 role in Orlando, FL offers a pay rate of $20/hour. This position is designed to assist physicians and healthcare teams while also being a reliable contact for patients. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and their rooms for appointments.
- Acquire and document vital signs.
- Engage with patients to gather relevant health information and symptoms.
- Input patient data into Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Administer injections in line with certification guidelines.
- Conduct diagnostic tests.
- Collect laboratory samples and specimens.
- Execute blood draws and phlebotomy tasks.
- Ensure medical equipment is sterilized and maintained.
- Prepare and uphold cleanliness in examination areas.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or patient-facing environment.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
- Valid Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA).
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Less than 2 years of leadership experience in a professional setting.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Competency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills.
