Job Summary
We are seeking a Trauma-Ortho/Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position based in Cleveland, OH. This role is crucial for providing medical and surgical care, ensuring patients receive the necessary treatment in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical and surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and recovery.
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification.
- Valid RN license, with necessary verification.
- Proof of immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza.
- Completed health screenings including a Fit Test and physical health statement.
- Completion of UHS documentation and requirements, including background checks and employment verifications.
- Two-step PPD test or IGRA test (e.g., Quantiferon/Tspot) for tuberculosis screening.
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
- Completion of UHS competency evaluations and modules.
- Familiarity with trauma and orthopedic procedures preferred.
