Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Palliative Medicine team in Lake Forest, Illinois. This role requires an individual who is enthusiastic about providing compassionate care to patients with serious illnesses and their families.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage patient care in a palliative setting.
- Prescribe and order necessary medications and therapies for patients.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Support patients and families in understanding treatment options and making informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois.
- Possession of relevant board certification appropriate for the role.
- Demonstrated expertise in acute care practices, with knowledge of palliative care preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
