Job description
The Assistant Kitchen Manager plays a key role in assisting the Kitchen Manager with the daily operations of the kitchen, which involves supervising staff, managing food preparation, and overseeing inventory. This position requires maintaining exceptional food quality, safety, and operational efficiency while encouraging a collaborative team atmosphere. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in kitchen environments, ideally within a high-volume restaurant, along with excellent leadership and communication abilities. Knowledge of food safety protocols, inventory management tools, and the capability to handle physical demands, such as extended periods of standing, are essential.
