Job description
**Animal Care Attendant**
The Animal Care Attendant plays a crucial role in the daily management and welfare of shelter animals. This includes providing essential care, feeding, and exercise, as well as ensuring that kennels and facility spaces are kept clean and sanitary. Attendants are tasked with observing the health of the animals and communicating any signs of illness or abnormal behavior to veterinary personnel. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED and be capable of lifting more than 50 lbs as the position involves significant physical activity. Experience in animal handling is advantageous, and candidates must be willing to work on weekends.
