The Animal Care Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and proper management of companion animals and aquatic species at the Pet Care Center. In addition to this, they assist with sales strategies, merchandising efforts, and inventory management while providing exceptional service to customers. Applicants should possess a minimum of one year of experience in animal care and husbandry. Although a high school diploma or GED is desirable, completion of the Petco Animal Care Certification Program is mandatory.
