Job description
**Police Officer**
Police officers are responsible for patrolling specific areas to maintain public safety, deter criminal activity, and enforce traffic regulations. They respond to service calls, carry out investigations, gather evidence, and engage with the community to help solve problems. Ideal candidates should hold a valid North Carolina Police Officer certification or have completed the NC BLET program. Additionally, applicants must be at least 20 years old, a U.S. citizen, and successfully clear a thorough background check, polygraph examination, and physical fitness evaluation.
