The estimator plays a crucial role in evaluating material quantities by analyzing blueprints and determining costs related to labor, equipment, and materials. This position involves creating detailed bid proposals and collaborating with vendors and project teams to ensure the project’s financial success. Ideal candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in estimating within the heavy civil or paving construction sectors. Expertise in takeoff and bidding software, including Bluebeam or HeavyBid, is mandatory, as is the capability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
