The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for the daily management of the Engineering and Maintenance Department, ensuring the hotel’s facilities operate smoothly and effectively. This role includes overseeing preventive maintenance initiatives, managing external contractors, and assisting with budget management while adhering to safety standards. Ideal candidates will possess 4 to 6 years of experience in engineering or building maintenance, ideally in the hospitality sector. Expertise in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems is essential, as is the ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish.
