Job Summary
The Associate Patient Care role in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) 9W entails providing essential support to patients and medical staff. The position is critical in ensuring quality patient care and assisting with daily healthcare activities to enhance patient comfort and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Support nursing staff in delivering patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families about their care processes and any changes in their condition.
- Assist with the preparation and transportation of patients for tests or procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Document patient interactions and care activities accurately to support the treatment process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or willingness to obtain it promptly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on both team collaboration and independent duties.
