Billing Specialist

We are looking for a meticulous Billing Specialist to assist our service operations team by ensuring the prompt and precise invoicing of completed jobs. This role requires close collaboration with technicians, operations staff, and customers to uphold billing integrity, address discrepancies, and enhance the efficiency of the payment process.
Responsibilities of the Billing Specialist:
- Examine completed work orders and service documentation to confirm the completeness and accuracy of invoices.
- Validate labor, travel, parts, and other charges prior to generating customer invoices.
- Generate and distribute invoices per customer contracts, pricing agreements, and billing protocols.
- Address customer inquiries about invoices and assist in resolving any billing issues.
- Organize and maintain billing records, providing necessary documentation for audits or internal assessments.
- Identify billing discrepancies or trends and suggest process enhancements.
Qualifications for the Billing Specialist:
- Associate degree or similar experience is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in billing, invoicing, accounting support, or relevant administrative roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; experience with ERP systems like Workday is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Capable of working autonomously while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
