Job Summary
The BIM Designer plays a crucial role in developing Building Information Models that assist in the visualization, analysis, and documentation of construction projects. The designer will be instrumental in collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of models throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed and coordinated BIM models that meet project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate input from various disciplines into cohesive designs.
- Utilize BIM software to enhance project efficiency, including clash detection and resolution.
- Prepare documentation and presenting model data for design reviews and client presentations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BIM technology and methodologies.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff in BIM software and techniques.
Qualifications
- Proficient in BIM software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar applications.
- Solid understanding of architectural and engineering principles.
- Strong visualization skills and attention to detail in model creation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate well with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
