BIM Designer

As a key contributor to the project team, theBIM Designer is tasked with executing modeling efforts that support project completion and adhere to established standards. This position emphasizes strong communication skills to ensure that modeling tasks and deliverables are accurate and efficient.
BIM Designer Responsibilities:
- Input layout details from the field into Revit, guided by the Supervisor/Lead Modeler, while complying with REI Standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of personal work to ensure precision before submission to others.
- Create project sheets that meet specified requirements and align with REI Standards.
- Sustain the Revit model environment in accordance with Company BIM Standards.
- Keep track of work progress in line with project protocols.
- Adhere to all REI confidentiality and Non-Disclosure obligations associated with this role.
- Safeguard Company Intellectual Property and proprietary information.

BIM Designer Desired Skills:
- Strong self-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Revit, including the ability to create and modify views, manage browser structures, sheets, schedules, and filters.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully.
- Familiarity with REI BIM processes and standards, including workflow protocols.
- Competence in reading 2D plans, whether digital or printed, including one-lines, lighting schedules, panel schedules, and feeder schedules.
- Willingness to learn industry-standard software, including but not limited to BlueBeam, Autodesk Cloud products, and NavisWorks.
- Ability to import a variety of documents into Revit projects, including spreadsheets, images, and word documents.
- Skilled in typing, proofreading, and editing documents independently.
- Understanding of Revit work sharing environments.
- Knowledge of 3D coordination across different trades.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to manage and prioritize various tasks, adapting priorities as needed.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure with a flexible mindset.
- Possesses strong, solution-oriented communication skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
- Interacts courteously and professionally with colleagues at all levels.
BIM Designer Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An Associate degree in Computerized Drafting or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in electrical drafting, installation, or Revit is required.
- A combination of education, training, and relevant experience is acceptable.
