Job description
Job Summary
The Breast Imaging/Diagnostic Radiologist will specialize in diagnosing and evaluating breast conditions using advanced imaging techniques. The role requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in various diagnostic procedures to ensure the delivery of comprehensive care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI.
- Interpret images to identify abnormalities and provide accurate diagnoses.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and develop patient management plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all imaging procedures conducted.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in breast imaging technologies and techniques.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree with residency training in diagnostic radiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in diagnostic radiology; fellowship training in breast imaging preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in Kentucky.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
