Job Summary
The Camp Director is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of the camp, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience for all campers. This role includes program development, staff leadership, and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality throughout the camp’s activities. The Director will work closely with staff, parents, and campers to promote a positive and inclusive camp environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of camp programs and activities.
- Recruit, train, and manage camp staff to ensure effective performance.
- Oversee the daily operations of the camp, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, campers, and staff regarding camp activities and procedures.
- Evaluate camp programs and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in camp management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, or other relevant safety training.
- Ability to engage with children and create a positive camp culture.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
