Job Summary
The CardioVascular Technician plays a crucial role in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This position involves operating diagnostic equipment and collaborating with medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care in cardiac health.
Responsibilities
- Conduct various cardiovascular diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms and stress tests.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining tests and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Monitor and record patient data during testing to assist physicians in making accurate diagnoses.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipment.
- Assist in interpreting test results and providing relevant information to the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technician program.
- Certification from a recognized professional organization is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with cardiovascular diagnostic equipment is a plus.
