Job Summary
The Career Specialist Instructor is responsible for equipping individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the job market successfully. This role focuses on providing guidance, teaching career development strategies, and facilitating workshops aimed at enhancing employability for diverse demographics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver curriculum tailored to career readiness and job search strategies.
- Conduct individual assessments to identify clients’ strengths and areas for improvement.
- Provide counseling and advice on resume writing, interviewing techniques, and job search tactics.
- Organize and lead workshops covering various topics related to career advancement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor market trends to better support learners.
- Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to facilitate job placements and internships.
Qualifications
- Expertise in career counseling or workforce development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in designing and implementing instructional materials.
- A degree in education, counseling, human services, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate learners.
