Job Summary
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Telemetry plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within the telemetry department. This position involves assisting the nursing staff in monitoring patients’ vital signs, ensuring comfort, and supporting the overall healthcare team in delivering excellent care to patients with cardiac and other telemetry needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and recording patients’ vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide personal care to patients, ensuring their comfort and hygiene needs are met.
- Help patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Support the nursing team in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Active certification as a Nurse Aide in the relevant state.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in telemetry or similar fields, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care practices.
