Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team by delivering essential direct patient care. This position includes assisting with daily living activities while also providing emotional support to patients. The Nursing Assistant performs various clinical duties such as taking vital signs, ensuring patient positioning, and aiding in medical procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients, assisting them with daily activities and offering emotional support.
- Monitor and record vital signs as part of routine clinical tasks.
- Assist in positioning patients properly for comfort and care.
- Support registered nurses during medical procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is necessary.
- A minimum of six months of experience in an acute or long-term care setting is expected.
