Job Summary
The Certified Pharmacy Technician plays a pivotal role in assisting pharmacists with medication fulfillment and patient care. This position demands a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and the capacity to manage various tasks contributing to the health and safety of patients. The technician is responsible for ensuring efficient pharmacy workflow and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage inventory and stock levels to ensure adequate supply.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information.
- Adhere to safety and operational procedures within the pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
- State licensure as required.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology.
