Job Summary
The pharmacy technician plays a crucial role in the daily operations by facilitating the dispensing of specialty prescription medications to both patients and healthcare providers. This position requires active participation in various tasks that support the overall workflow within the pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions efficiently.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability of medications.
- Organize and coordinate orders for prompt shipment to patients or providers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Registration with the Board of Pharmacy is mandatory.
- Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is preferred.
