Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring that the operating room is equipped and organized properly. This position involves collaboration with surgeons and other medical staff to enhance patient care during surgeries, contributing to a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team by handing instruments and materials as needed during operations.
- Monitor the surgical field to maintain a sterile environment and keep track of instruments during procedures.
- Maintain and manage inventory of surgical supplies and instruments.
- Participate in surgical patient care before, during, and after procedures, assisting with cleaning and preparing the operating room.
Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Current certification as a surgical technologist.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
