Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Tech plays a vital role in operating room teams, providing essential support during surgical procedures. This position involves assisting surgeons and medical staff to ensure that surgical operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role requires a deep understanding of surgical practices, instrumentation, and aseptic techniques.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgeries.
- Assist during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is functioning and prepared for use before surgeries.
- Clean and restock operating rooms between procedures to maintain hygiene and readiness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient care and surgical success.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and surgical instruments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in a surgical setting or relevant clinical experience may be required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
