Job description
Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist/Liaison plays a critical role in supporting surgical teams by ensuring that all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are prepared and available for surgical procedures. This position acts as the key point of contact between surgical staff, patients, and administrative personnel to facilitate seamless communication and operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist in coordinating patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Facilitate communication between the surgical team and other departments.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the operating room.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new surgical techniques and technologies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of surgical procedures and equipment usage.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Previous experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
