Cleanroom Technician
Location: Aurora, OH
Pay: $19-$21/hr
Contract: 1 year
Schedule: 3:00PM-11:30PM

The **Cleanroom Technician** is responsible for facilitating production processes within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom setting. This involves meticulously weighing, filling, packaging, labeling, and documenting procedures related to the manufacturing of chemical or bulk products. Adhering to cleanroom standards, cGMP regulations, safety procedures, and quality benchmarks is essential while collaborating effectively with fellow production team members.

Responsibilities of the Cleanroom Technician:

  • Ensure a safe work environment by following company work instructions, cleanroom protocols, cGMP standards, and existing policies.
  • Accurately weigh and fill chemicals or bulk goods according to Production Work Orders, meeting quality and quantity specifications.
  • Utilize production scales, including completion of necessary verifications and calibrations.
  • Set up, operate, clean, and maintain various production machinery such as automatic heat sealers, electronic floor scales, pumps, crushers, auger filling units, autoclave units, vibrating fillers, induction sealing devices, and exhaust hoods.
  • Package completed products for shipment, which includes boxing, labeling, and preparing documents as per work instructions.
  • Properly manage hazardous materials while wearing required safety equipment and following safety protocols.
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors and maintaining workstation cleanliness to ensure compliance within the cleanroom.
  • Complete necessary documentation clearly and precisely, adhering to verification and review processes.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and follow change control protocols, while fostering a commitment to getting it right the first time.
  • Collaborate as a team member by assisting colleagues and taking on additional tasks as required.

Qualifications for the Cleanroom Technician:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • 0–2 years of relevant production experience in a cleanroom environment is required.
  • Prior cleanroom experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles are preferred.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to adhere to cleanroom protocols, site procedures, safety rules, and quality standards.
  • Essential skills include strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy is required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Candidates must be adaptable, proactive, able to work independently, and capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
