The phlebotomist is tasked with conducting venipuncture and collecting specimens, prioritizing patient safety and precise order processing. They are also responsible for handling specimen preparation, which includes labeling and packaging, as well as overseeing the upkeep of laboratory equipment and documentation. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with phlebotomy certification or relevant experience. Familiarity with medical terminology and experience using EMR systems is desirable.
