Job Summary
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for delivering extensive nutrition services, focusing on patient evaluations, developing care plans, and coordinating discharge processes. This role also entails managing menus, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing education to staff regarding therapeutic diets and nutritional standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Coordinate the discharge process to support patient needs post-hospitalization.
- Oversee menu management to meet nutritional requirements and preferences.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance related to dietary services.
- Educate healthcare staff on therapeutic diets and established nutrition standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field is required.
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration is essential.
- Experience in an acute-care setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in clinical documentation and collaboration are necessary.
