Job description
**Clinical Imaging Technician**
Cleveland, OH (Onsite 5 Days)
$37-52/hr (Based on experience)
The **Clinical Engineering (CE) Imaging Technician** will take on the responsibility of autonomously diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, and conducting preventive maintenance on imaging systems across various modalities, including interventional radiology (IR)/Cath and EP Labs, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and linear accelerators (LINAC), with minimal reliance on vendor support.
**Responsibilities of the Clinical Imaging Technician:**
– Diagnose failures in medical imaging systems and execute repairs following manufacturer guidelines, adhering to timeframes set by service level agreements.
– Conduct preventive maintenance on complex medical devices and create tailored preventive maintenance protocols based on site-specific needs, integrating usage and performance data.
– Perform incoming inspections on newly acquired equipment and document findings in the CMMS database.
– Serve as a technical resource within the organization for the imaging systems assigned.
– Provide on-the-job training to fellow technicians for the equipment they are familiar with.
– Communicate the readiness and service status of medical devices to both clinical and non-clinical staff, including updates and reports for senior management.
**Qualifications for the Clinical Imaging Technician:**
– Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering Technology.
– Successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or a recognized third-party training provider.
– A minimum of four years of experience with Linear Accelerators, CT scanners, MRI machines, Nuclear Medical imaging equipment, or other similar sophisticated medical systems.
