Job Summary
The Gear Manufacturing Engineer will play a vital role in overseeing and enhancing manufacturing processes for gear components. This position requires a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and the implementation of best practices in gear production to meet the company’s standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize machining processes for gear manufacturing.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of gear designs.
- Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and implement corrective measures.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials for gear production based on mechanical properties.
- Create and maintain process documentation and workflow instructions.
- Train and support production staff on best practices and new technologies.
- Monitor production outputs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and process-related issues in the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in gear design and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
