Job Summary
The Senior Roadway Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of roadway design projects. This position demands a deep understanding of transportation engineering coupled with strong design skills to create innovative solutions for various infrastructure projects. The engineer will collaborate with other professionals to ensure compliance with both safety and regulatory standards while delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and planning phases of roadway projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate project components effectively.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
- Review and analyze design calculations and specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Engage in site assessments to understand project impacts and existing conditions.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway design and civil engineering.
- Strong proficiency in design software and tools relevant to roadway engineering.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
