The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering patient-focused care, which includes preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and aiding healthcare providers during procedures. This role also involves maintaining clinical records in the electronic health system and facilitating patient care coordination among the healthcare team. Applicants must possess a valid certification or registration from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT, or a current Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse license. Furthermore, a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
