Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the MedSurg department plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care during the night shift. This position involves supporting patients with daily living activities, assisting nursing staff, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients in a medical-surgical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing staff.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Support the nursing team in implementing care plans for patients.
- Document patient conditions and care provided in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
- Current CNA certification in the state of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work full-time hours during the night shift.
