The CNC Machinist plays a key role in configuring and operating CNC milling and lathe machinery to produce prototype components that meet stringent manufacturing specifications. Responsibilities also include the preparation of CAM files, conducting inspections on parts, and performing routine maintenance on shop equipment to guarantee adherence to quality standards and timely delivery. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, alongside experience in the setup and programming of CNC machines. A strong ability to interpret blueprints, utilize measuring tools, and knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and SolidWorks is essential.
