Job Summary
The CNC Programmer plays a crucial role in manufacturing by setting up and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality components. The position requires expertise in reading engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring that machinery operates efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify CNC programs to meet production requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precision in components.
- Set up CNC machines, including loading tools and setting offsets.
- Conduct quality checks and adjustments to maintain production standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain machine work area, ensuring cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Document and report on production processes, including any abnormalities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming languages.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is desirable.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Relevant certifications may be preferred.
