Job Summary
The Combo Structural Fitter / Welder is an integral position at Englobal, responsible for assembling and welding steel structures to meet design specifications and ensure structural integrity. This role requires expertise in both fitting and welding processes, which are crucial for the development of high-quality structural components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in metal fabrication and have a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the welding industry.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and align steel structures in accordance with project specifications.
- Utilize welding techniques to join metal components and ensure structural strength.
- Conduct inspections of welds and structures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to accurately execute fitting and welding tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and report progress to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a fitter and welder, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Certifications in welding (AWS or equivalent) are preferred.
