Job Summary
The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing patient placement, direct admissions, transfers, and referrals across the health system. This position is also responsible for executing emergency medical dispatch triage and orchestrating the deployment of EMS, EVS personnel, and emergency response teams.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient placements and manage direct admissions and transfers within the health care system.
- Handle referrals effectively to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform emergency medical dispatch triage as needed.
- Coordinate the timely dispatch of EMS, EVS staff, and various emergency teams.
Qualifications
- Must possess a post-high school diploma or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.
- Certifications in BLS and NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 are required to be obtained within six months of employment.
