Job Summary
The Construction Estimator plays a pivotal role in the planning and budgeting phases of construction projects. This position is responsible for analyzing project requirements, estimating costs, and preparing comprehensive cost reports to guide decision-making and ensure projects stay within budget.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Assess labor, material, and equipment costs to prepare accurate estimates.
- Compile and submit proposal documents to clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and architects to clarify project details.
- Continuously track and analyze ongoing project costs and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for tendering purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
