Job Summary
The Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding the financial interests of the organization by handling credit applications, determining credit limits, and ensuring adherence to payment terms across various business segments. This position involves actively monitoring overdue accounts, conducting account reconciliations, and collaborating with sales and operations teams to reduce credit risk.
Responsibilities
- Process and evaluate credit applications to assess financial risk.
- Approve credit limits that align with the company’s risk management policies.
- Enforce payment terms and conditions to ensure timely collections.
- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts to minimize losses.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate efforts with sales and operations to address and mitigate credit exposure.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business or finance is mandatory.
- A minimum of five to seven years of experience in commercial credit and collections is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to foster customer relationships and facilitate internal reporting.
