Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. This role requires a technical skill set and an understanding of imaging protocols to ensure high-quality results while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CT scans according to prescribed protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain and operate CT equipment effectively.
- Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring proper technique is utilized.
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and specialized training in CT imaging.
- Current state licensure and/or certification as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while prioritizing patient needs.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
