Job Summary
The CT Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, responsible for producing high-quality computed tomography (CT) images to assist in medical diagnoses. This professional works closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during the imaging process while collaborating with healthcare providers to deliver accurate imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography scans with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the CT imaging procedures.
- Work in conjunction with radiologists to obtain the necessary diagnostic images.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is operating correctly.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging tests, explaining procedures as needed.
- Record patient information and prepare the necessary documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to minimize radiological exposure.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a CT Technologist.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Strong knowledge of radiology and medical imaging techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
