Job Summary
The CT Technologist, responsible for conducting computed tomography scans, works on the weekend day shift, operating for 12 hours. This role is vital in providing high-quality imaging services that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CT scans as per protocols to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Assist in patient preparation, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to discuss imaging results and patient care.
- Document and maintain patient records and imaging results efficiently.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Active certification in CT technology from a recognized body.
- Licensure as required by state regulations for radiologic technologists.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably with CT imaging.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work weekends on a 12-hour shift schedule.
