Job Summary
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the facility. This role involves various cleaning tasks and ensuring that the premises meet the established hygiene and health standards. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas including restrooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and dispose of waste properly.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and kitchen areas to ensure availability.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals and proper usage.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required.
