Job Summary
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in assisting dentists and hygienists by managing patient documentation, performing radiographic imaging, and ensuring that work environments are kept sterile and organized. This position also involves informing patients about oral health practices and maintaining an inviting and hygienic office atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and materials.
- Collect and manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Perform radiographs while adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients about proper oral hygiene and care.
- Guarantee that the dental practice is clean, well-organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Completion of a radiology education and training that fulfills state stipulations.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR.
- Proficient interpersonal skills necessary for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced dental setting.
