Diesel Mechanic Technician Full-time

Job Summary

The role of a Diesel Mechanic Technician involves maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel engines and related systems. This position requires a blend of technical skills and hands-on experience with diesel-powered equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot diesel engines and equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance such as oil changes, and filter replacements.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including brakes, fuel systems, and electrical components.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical college degree in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician, with a strong understanding of diesel engines.
  • ASE certification is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
