Job Summary
The role of a Diesel Mechanic Technician involves maintaining and repairing a variety of diesel engines and related systems. This position requires a blend of technical skills and hands-on experience with diesel-powered equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot diesel engines and equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance such as oil changes, and filter replacements.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including brakes, fuel systems, and electrical components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical college degree in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or technician, with a strong understanding of diesel engines.
- ASE certification is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
